Altere Studios bring design for wellness to HIX Europe
London-based Altere Studios makes its HIX debut this year, showcasing its stone Editions alongside an exclusive reveal of its cast iron and steel collection.
Named after the haltere, the stone hand weights used by athletes in ancient Greece, Altere redesigns strength equipment from first principles. Every Edition is developed through deep analysis of human movement before its form, material and finish are refined, so the resulting product earns its place in any space, for any exercise. Each kettlebell and dumbbell is presented beautifully on custom storage furniture, allowing a collection to live thoughtfully in a wellness studio or boutique gym as effortlessly as in-room or in a private residence.
Designed for hospitality and residential projects
Altere works with operators and designers who consider every detail of the guest wellness experience. Colourways are fully customisable, with an unlimited palette matched to any interior scheme or brand colour, and pigmented or powder-coated depending on the material. Logos and marks can be debossed or engraved into the product itself, while storage is designed around each space so the collection sits intentionally within the overall design.
The equipment and the practice
Altere designs the equipment along with the way it integrates into a space, working with each client on thoughtful placement and bespoke storage. Alongside the equipment sits Slow Strength®, Altere's proprietary strength training methodology. Workouts are designed around each Edition, breath-led and timed to music, with an emphasis on controlled movement. Together, the equipment and practice offer guests a premium strength ritual, so operators can deliver a deeply considered wellness experience as part of every stay.
At Stand P8
Visitors to HIX 2026 are invited to explore both collections in person and handle the materials up close, learning how colour and customisation can be applied to their project. The Altere team will be on the stand throughout the show to talk through specification for their upcoming schemes.
