The Art of Becoming: Leather, Reborn
At Reather, change is not a trend. It is the material itself.
Every year, countless leather offcuts from tanneries and manufacturers end up in landfill. We saw them differently: not as waste, but as the start of something new. Reather takes pre- and post-consumer leather scraps (wet white, wet blue and finished) and reweaves their fibres into a new surface, without glue or resin. The result is made from 92% recycled material, with a carbon footprint 80% lower than genuine leather.
It still feels like leather, because it is born from it. Yet it has changed: 40% lighter, more breathable, and tested to 80,000 Taber cycles, ready for the demands of hotel seating, headboards, wall panels and guest-room details.
At HIX Europe, we invite designers and hoteliers to experience this transformation first-hand. Our stand will be a hands-on space where visitors can touch the surface, feel the warmth and discover how yesterday's offcuts become tomorrow's interiors. Bring a project, a material challenge or simply your curiosity.
All change? Not quite. We keep everything that makes leather special, and change everything else.
Reather. A familiar touch, rewoven for the next generation of design.
