LB Ceramic – forged in fire, crafted by hand

LB Ceramic Art Stand: A9
LB Ceramic – forged in fire, crafted by hand

At HIX LDN 2025, LB Ceramic Art presents the Raku process as an art form in itself.

Each piece is born through the ancient Japanese Raku technique, reimagined through years of experimentation and innovation. Unlike industrial ceramics, Raku embraces unpredictability – the flames, the smoke, and the air all become collaborators, leaving behind metallic sheens, crackled surfaces and subtle gradients that can never be repeated. Every artwork is truly one of a kind.

Using a specialized glaze technique based on the oxidation of precious metals such as copper, iron, and silver (purity 975), LB Ceramic Art create surfaces that shimmer with depth and life. Each piece carries its own rhythm, its own energy — the result of a process where nature and craftsmanship meet.

All its pieces are customisable. From sculptural lighting and vases to wall objects and large-scale installations, every design can be made to order. It collaborates closely with architects, interior designers and art consultants to co-create works that enrich five-star hotels, luxury residences and high-end design projects worldwide. Signature works such as The Heart of Gold embody this spirit — every commission is a true co-creation, shaped by vision, trust and mastery.

Founder and artist Engelbert de Wit dedicated six years to developing a unique process that makes Raku firing compatible with casting clay. Through countless tests and precise control of temperature, timing and oxygen, he achieved a technique that combines architectural precision with the soul of handmade artistry.
