At NANA BERCHIE | Design Rituals, change is intrinsic to both our artistic philosophy and the way our sculptures are experienced.

In celebration of HIX Europe's 2026 theme, 'Changes', we invite visitors to engage directly with a selection of Nana Berchie's interactive sculptural ceramics.

These hand-built works incorporate movable elements that can be touched, rotated, balanced and rearranged, allowing visitors to explore different compositions and perspectives. There is no single 'correct' arrangement.

Through this hands-on experience, visitors become active participants in the creative process, discovering how a single artwork can transform through interaction.

Our activation embodies our philosophy; Learn. Unlearn. Relearn.,  while reflecting HIX's own belief that the event should be "experienced rather than visited".

Beyond interaction, we also aim to challenge conventional thinking about art in hospitality: not simply as decoration added to a completed interior, but as a sculptural presence capable of informing, shaping and transforming the spaces we inhabit.

The experience will involve supervised handling of selected artworks, without amplified sound or specialist equipment.
