Silent Gliss and Studio Moren present: The Harmony Suite
Silent Gliss and Studio Moren will debut The Harmony Suite at HIX 2025 - a guestroom concept exploring hospitality as a space for calm, individuality, and cultural continuity. Designed to reflect this year’s theme, Culture Clash, the suite transforms contrast into connection - a place where tactile craftsmanship meets intelligent control, and heritage evolves through innovation.
The installation blends traditional materials with advanced automation to create a balanced, sensory environment. Soft, neutral fabrics, grass-cloth wallcoverings, and warm timber tones are accented with subtle metallics, achieving a sense of quiet luxury and understated opulence. Lighting by Chelsom enhances the materiality, casting soft highlights across layered surfaces to reveal the richness of natural textures, while leather detailing introduces warmth and authenticity.
Behind its serene aesthetic lies a sophisticated network of integrated systems. The experience is orchestrated through Bodhi’s building management platform, which unites Silent Gliss smart shading, Rako interface switches, and Sonos sound into pre-set scenes that shift seamlessly between moods. Guests can explore the full spectrum of the space - from energising daylight to tranquil evening - as lighting, sound, and shading move in harmony.
Each collaborator brings a vital voice to the composition: Contract Chair Company and Hypnos provide comfort and craftsmanship; Romo Group, Philip Jeffries, Samuel & Sons, and Alma define the tactile and decorative language; Forest Contracts, Capital Crispin, Mega Glass, Salto, and Lualdi contribute precision detailing, hardware, and architectural integrity. Together, they create a space that feels global yet grounded, handmade yet high-tech.
Additional collaborating brands will be featured on the installation board at HIX — we invite visitors to discover the full collective of partners that helped bring the Harmony Suite to life.
- “The Harmony Suite celebrates design that feels human and emotionally engaging - it’s about more than aesthetics,” says David Harte, Partner and Head of Interior Design at Studio Moren. “We’ve created a guestroom that empowers autonomy while honouring craft and cultural continuity.”
Sam Shervill, Group Marketing Manager at Silent Gliss, adds: “This installation demonstrates the invisible thread between design and functionality - how functional products, such as window shading, provide guest comfort while forming an integral part of interior design. Smart technology integrated throughout a concept contributes to the overall guest experience.”
The Harmony Suite also connects to a wider HIX programme via “Collide to Create,” a series of talks curated by Studio Skov. This dialogue-driven platform examines how cultural collision sparks creativity, with The Harmony Suite acting as the physical expression of these ideas.
The opening panel, “Newtro Effect,” explores this creative tension - where nostalgia meets innovation - and how the clash of eras can become a catalyst for connection and meaning. In a time when technology accelerates us toward artificial realities, people are reaching back toward the human, the heritage, and the authentic. Hospitality stands at this point of collision: a bridge between legacy and progress, preserving heritage while reimagining it for the modern age.
The second panel, “Global Voices & Local Stories,” hosted by ArtLink Founder & Creative Director Tal Danai, explores how cross-cultural collaboration shapes art in hospitality. The discussion will highlight how artists and designers can honour local traditions while drawing on their own cultural perspectives to create immersive experiences that engage and inspire.
Through its integration of tactile craft and smart control, The Harmony Suite embodies this philosophy: preserving and evolving rather than erasing and replacing. It stands as both installation and invitation - a space that celebrates harmony born from contrast, and a reminder that design’s future is strongest when it honours where we’ve come from.
