Along with our own activations like those taking place on our signature installation and the annual HIX Social opening night party, HIX guests can discover the latest hotel interior experiences and cutting-edge product launches surrounded by stand concepts and additional content inspired by our theme for 2024 – a sense of place.

Featuring transportive listening bars, multisensory tea ceremonies and a dive into colour-coded relics of the past, this year’s activation line-up is bigger than ever. Check out some of these special sessions below.

Furniture Fusion // Your face, our place

Stand: E11 – 27 & 28 Nov, all day.

Taking the form of a unique music-inspired stand installation created in collaboration with design studio Jones AD, Furniture Fusion’s ‘Your face, our place’ celebrates a love of sound, and the creative forces around it. Visitors are be invited to step into another world, play a track and be transported, with the firm promising a place to reflect and to reconnect. Full details are being kept under wraps until the event, but guests can expect a unique, interactive installation that celebrates the way in which music marks the moments in our lives, entwined with feelings, sights and experiences to create a sense of self and place. The installation will feature pieces selected by Abi Perry-Jones, Creative Director of Jones AD, along with bespoke furniture created for the event by Furniture Fusion.

Laufen // Colour Archaeology

Stand: 6 – 27 & 28 Nov, all day.

Visitors to the Laufen booth can explore Colour Archaeology – a meticulously curated room set that presents the outcome of an academic research project led by Roberto Sironi to colour-categorise over 10,000 artifacts in museums worldwide. Collected into vibrant clusters that reflect their cultural origins, these colours allow designers to anchor their spaces in rich historical context. It doesn’t get much more ‘sense of place’ than this.
