Andreas Christodoulou
House of Dré is an award winning interior design studio established in 2020 by Andreas Christodoulou, the founder and creative director. Andreas brings his architectural education into adiverse range of disciplines, from interior design and sculpture to furniture and industrial design.
He has gained over a decade of experience working at award winning interior design and architecture studios, contributing to both residential and hospitality projects. His career has given him extensive first hand experience across every stage of the design process, from concept and detailing through to construction and completion, knowledge that underpins the work of House of Dré today.
His artworks have been exhibited in galleries, restaurants and hotels in and around London. As a multidisciplinary creative, he believes that by creating an overlap between art and design, new and culturally relevant works can emerge. These projects are formed through collaborations with a network of talented figures in art, design and craft. Maintaining strong relationships with other creatives is central to House of Dré, where collaboration is considered the studio’s lifeblood.
Andreas graduated from Westminster Architecture School’s legendary Design Studio 16, a place where students were encouraged to merge traditional crafts with contemporary fabrication techniques. Much of this exploration took place at Guan Lee’s renowned Grymsdyke Farm workshop, which became a home from home for students from London’s top design schools. There, they would spend months at a time developing projects collaboratively, blurring the boundaries between art, design and fabrication. This spirit of hands-on experimentation continues to shape both Andreas’s professional practice and the design ethos of House of Dré.
