Oliver Beddard
Oliver is a Senior Architect at Purcell, having joined the company over 10 years ago fresh from completing his Bachelor’s of Architecture at the University of Nottingham. He went of to study for his Master’s of Architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture before qualifying as an Architect at London Metropolitan University in 2021. Oliver spent his early career working on a range of large-scale cultural and civic projects such as the refurbishments of Nottingham Castle and Camden Town Hall but he has recently joined Purcell’s growing hospitality sector.
Purcell’s fundamental interest in the creative reuse of historic built environments is at the heart of all work Oliver explores, leaning on the wealth of in-house expertise in both Architecture and Heritage Consultancy teams. The schemes he delivers honour chapters both past and future for some of the country’s finest buildings and their custodians. He is currently working on the fit-out of a luxury events venue within a grade II listed building in London’s Kings Cross alongside Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio as Interior Designer.
