Richy is an Architect with abundant experience in luxury residential, hotel, and furniture design, working on prominent projects across London and internationally. He worked with world-renowned practices including Anouska Hempel Design and Dixon Jones Architects, as well as artisan sculptors Based Upon.

Son of a long lineage of Tyneside shipbuilders, he grew up in a former mining village, developing a fascination for his native North East England's once-mighty industrial heritage. A family metalworks business promoted a childhood passion for design and making, which ultimately led to an architectural training. A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, Richy maintains a meticulous approach to design, crafting spaces and objects with provenance and meaning. He focuses on understated aesthetics and elegant detailing.

Richy is also an accomplished furniture designer, leading NOVOCASTRIAN, a team of 15 designers and makers hand-crafting heirloom furniture in North East England.
