HIX 2024

Experience four innovative and inspiring installations at HIX 2025

Each year, HIX pushes the boundaries of hospitality design with a signature installation strand. Bringing a series of immersive, inspiring and experimental concept spaces to our show floor, we’ve grown the world’s first mycelium bar with WeWantMore; investigated the ‘umwelt paradigm’ with Blacksheep; and reimagined the iconic Business Design Centre as an innovative urban agriculture hub with Purcell.

Guided by our annual themes, these installations offer guests a chance to engage with new ideas and possibilities that challenge the hotel design status quo, championing radical creativity and collaboration to create interior experiences that resonate far beyond four walls. There might just be a bar involved too.

At HIX 2025, under our theme of ‘culture clash’ we’re celebrating the diverse range of perspectives, backgrounds and values which define the global hotel industry, and the great things that happen when they come together – a platform for hospitality design without borders. It makes perfect sense then, that our partners for this year’s installation, should have some first-hand experience of this phenomenon.
